Re: Discussions about DPF « Reply #75 on: March 29, 2015, 07:26:44 pm » Hello Everyone, I'm new to the forum, I have a Mazda 6 2.2 diesel I am having some problems with frequency active regens of the dpf does anyone have any advice?
I do not have a lot of experience yet with this truck but prior to using the FBC I was have a regeneration about every 350 miles and often lasting up to 25 miles. One of my co-workers is using it in a diesel Canyon and he is reporting similar reductions in the duration and frequency of regenerations. 2021 3500 Denali.
As explained above there are factors causing DPF failure. If not addressed the method of regeneration will not work. For people in 3rd world countries, regeneration may not work as desired because they cannot change their quality of fuel. Option 2: Buy New DPF – If Option 1 has failed the next option on the table would be to buy a new DPF
So recently in the past few weeks I have been noticing odd regen frequency. They come and go throughout the day and what it looks like is the DPF soot load is not getting above 33%? Some times it doesn’t even get above 23%. Right now, I am driving a consistent 65 and it’ll raise to 23 and then drop back down to 17 to 19.
P2458 – DPF regeneration duration ; P2459 – DPF regeneration frequency ; P2463 – DPF Restriction – Soot accumulation ; P244A – DPF Pressure too low (Bank 1) High fuel consumption + Low performance . When the Mazda CX5 DPF is blocked, it will over fuel to increase the exhaust temperatures that burn the soot particles.
